Warehousing

Warehouses are where supply chains meet the customer, and order picking is often their most labour-intensive and costly activity. My research develops exact and heuristic algorithms for order batching, picker routing and SKU repositioning. It increasingly targets dynamic, automated warehouses, where robots must be recharged proactively and storage adapts to demand in real time.
